The Grey Cup Festival is Canada’s most prestigious sporting event. In addition to the final game of the CFL season, the week-long event featured two ziplines, immersive football experiences, cultural displays, and performances from a diverse lineup of entertainers. As a Media Volunteer, devising unique ways to capture and promote the event was an exciting challenge. I first conducted preliminary research to find trends and popular audios that we could recreate, before going out to follow the action and film interesting shots. The editing process included working around copyright regulations while maintaining the entertaining spirit of the video, and the final step was drafting captions and formatting in line with the brand guide before posting onto the official account.
